The Board of Directors is elected annually by the members of the MPROA.  The Board is responsible for all decisions regarding the association’s programs, finances, and operations.  Officers and Directors serve two-year terms and may be reelected to successive terms.  The Board meets monthly at a location somewhere in Minnesota, usually on the first Monday of the month.

Mary E. McDonald
Reserve Commander
St. Paul Police Department

Mary is a 25 year veteran with the St. Paul Police Reserves and have been in the top five in hours since I joined the Reserves, generally in excess of 500 hours donated each year. She has been the Event Commander with St Paul Police Reserves, since 2000. As event commander I am responsible to oversee the planning and implimentation of all Events involving the St Paul Reserves In 2009 this was in excess of 500 events. Mary also is the head traffic instructor for the SPPD which includes the Regular officers, Reserves, Explorers, and St Paul Parks Security. When not volunteering Mary enjoys watching Motorsports, walking her dogs and crotcheting blankets for children that are hospitalized with terminal illness. Professionally, Mary is employed by the City of St Paul as an Office Assistant II in the St Paul Police Department Records Unit.

New Ulm Police Department


Greg has been a Reserve Officer with the New Ulm Police Department since 2005. Prior to joining the New Ulm Police Reserves he served as a Reserve Officer with the St. Peter Police Department, Eagle Lake Police Department, and Madison Lake Police Department. Greg is a member with the Midwest Gang Investigators Association and has experience as a Volunteer Firefighter. Professionally, Greg is employed by a government agency within the state. Maplewood Police Department


Mike has been a Reserve Officer with the Maplewood Police Dept. since 2006. Prior to his position with Maplewood, Mike was a Reserve Deputy with the Ramsey County Sheriff's Dept. from 1996 to 2007. Mike maintains memberships with the Midwest Gang Investigators Association, the National Major Gang Task Force, and the East Coast Gang Investigators Association. Professionally, Mike is employed with a government agency in the Twin City area. When not working or volunteering, Mike enjoys law enforcement patch collecting, networking and traveling the country.

In 2006, the MPROA retained Darlyne Erickson to run the day-to-day operations of the Association. Darylne comes to us with 20 years of experience in Association Management and is a member of the Midwest Society of Association Executives (MSAE) and the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers.
